Essay Coaching Package
I just wanted to say thank you for all your help with my Common App essays. I was admitted to all six nursing schools I applied to! (even Gonzaga, which only has about a 14% admission rate to their nursing program). You were so easy to work with and your help was invaluable.

Thank you so much for all your help throughout this process. You were immensely helpful and I couldn’t have written the essay without your guidance.

Common App Coaching
I wanted to thank you for your expertise and thorough evaluation of my daughter’s Common App this past week. We went through all of your suggestions together and we are both very grateful for your feedback. I was impressed that you even found necessary revisions on her personal statement, which had been reviewed by 2 English teachers before you.

FAQs
Who are our coaches?
Our experienced essay coaches, with diverse backgrounds in professional writing/editing, college counseling, or college application reading, have collectively spent hundreds of hours guiding students through college applications and essays.
How does the coaching process work?
We meet students at any stage—brainstorming, writing, revising, or completing the Common App. After purchase, you'll receive an email form to assess your student's progress. We'll then schedule a Zoom session to discuss ideas or existing work. Coaching continues via a shared Google Doc with comments and additional Zoom meetings as required.
What's the difference between a personal statement and the Common App essay?
They're the same thing. This is a student's primary essay showcasing who they are and what they want colleges to know. It's submitted via Common App, Coalition App, ApplyTexas, or directly to colleges. The word limit is 650.
What are supplemental essays, and what type of essay is “Why Us?”
Selective universities often request supplemental essays of 50 to 400 words in addition to the 650-word personal statement. Supplemental essays are also called “Why Us?” essays because students explain why they want to attend that college. Some colleges require seven or eight supplemental essays.
Can I estimate how many essays my student will have to write?
Yes! Google each college on your student's list to check for supplemental essay requirements. Official announcements typically start on August 1, but previous years' requirements can give an estimate.
Can you share an example of a student's essay you've edited in the past?
Due to our privacy policy, we cannot share a past essay, but you can check out our calendar for live events where we review essays. We typically have 1 per month during our peak essay season.
